Easy to Follow Deep Fried Bananas with Caramelized Sugar

One of the street foods we definitely love. Maybe because it's sweet and it's a banana. I always see vendors peddling banana cues. It's usually skewered on bamboo stick but mine has no stick. :)

Deep Fried Bananas with Caramelized Sugar

Ingredients:


Peeled Saba (Cardaba Banana)

Brown sugar for coating

Oil for deep frying


Direction:


Heat oil in the frying pan.

When it is hot, drop the banana in the oil followed by the brown sugar.

When the sugar starts to caramelize, stir the banana to have it coated.

You have to continue stirring to ensure that the bananas are fully coated by caramelized sugar.

Do not overcook. Drain in frying strainer.

You can skewered the banana in bamboo stick then serve with your favorite drink.
